Preserved plants, custom compositions and maintenance: greenery without the disappointments
Preserved greenery, zero watering, five to ten years of longevity
A potted plant delivered without instructions rarely survives its first summer of air conditioning. Indoor greenery does not fail by chance: it fails when the species is chosen before the light is measured, and when it is installed before deciding who will maintain it. Two mistakes that turn an image investment into a recurring replacement expense.Kytom brings together three answers within a single mission: the preserved plant that requires no care, the custom composition calibrated to actual light levels, and the maintenance or rental contract that guarantees longevity. You choose between them zone by zone, without juggling multiple contacts.

Preserved plants
A preserved plant is a natural plant whose sap has been replaced with a solution based on plant glycerine. The result retains the suppleness and appearance of a living plant, without water, light or pruning. In a dry interior sheltered from direct UV, longevity is measured in five to ten years depending on the species and the assembly. It is the answer for areas where natural greenery fails: corridors without natural light, windowless rooms, tall walls that are hard to access. It works equally well for a signature green wall, a plant frame, a clad partition or a logo. Its limits are clear and we own them: preserved greenery cannot be installed outdoors, in high humidity or under direct UV, and it does not purify the air. Its value is aesthetic, acoustic on certain assemblies, and budget-friendly in operation.

Custom compositions
From the plant logo to the planter calibrated for light
A successful composition begins with a measurement, not a catalogue. We measure light levels with a lux meter at the precise location of each installation, then we select the species whose needs match the available light and the accepted maintenance rhythm. From there, everything is designed to measure: containers integrated into the furniture, mixed walls combining preserved and natural plants, a plant logo at reception, planted dividers between clusters. The goal is for a composition to hold up visually all year round, not just for a season, in keeping with the identity of your spaces.
04
Maintenance & rental
A contract that guarantees longevity, not a plant delivered then forgotten
The natural plant that stays beautiful is the one someone looks after. Our maintenance contract covers watering, fertilising, pruning and the replacement of tired specimens, at a rhythm set to the species actually in place and not to a generic package. The commitment is to the visual result, not merely to a visit. Rental answers a different need: having a renewable plant decor without tying it up on the balance sheet, with a maintained pool exchanged according to the seasons or events. The two formulas combine: preserved plants purchased where nothing changes, natural plants rented and maintained where the living effect makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a preserved plant last?
Five to ten years in a dry interior sheltered from direct UV, depending on the species and the type of assembly. Moss walls often outlast preserved foliage in longevity. Annual dusting is enough to preserve the appearance; no watering is required.
Does preserved cost more than natural?
At purchase, often yes: preserved material is a processed product. But the calculation is made over time. With no watering, no horticultural lighting and no maintenance visits, the operating cost of preserved greenery tends towards zero, whereas natural plants accumulate visits and consumables. Over five years, preserved is frequently the most economical option in dark areas.
Is it better to buy or rent plants?
Buying makes sense for preserved and lasting compositions that structure the space. Renting suits natural greenery that you want to renew, evolve with the seasons or test before investing. We commonly combine both within a single project.
