Materials Library: harmonious finishes, chosen without delay

Every Kytom office maintains its own materials library, well stocked and kept up to date. Flooring, wallpaper, walls and ceilings, lighting, partitions, textiles, wood: everything is at hand to compose a harmonious whole with you from the very first session, without waiting for a sample to arrive.

01
The principle

A living materials library in each of our offices

A finish cannot be judged on a screen. The shade of a carpet, the texture of a wallpaper, the appearance of a veneer under a given light: this is seen and touched. That is why every Kytom office, in France as in Spain, maintains a physical materials library kept with the same standard: a well-stocked collection, sorted by family, purged of discontinued references and completed as new products arrive from our manufacturers.

There you will find the main families of an office fit-out, presented together rather than manufacturer by manufacturer: floor coverings, wallpapers and wall coverings, paints and ceilings, lighting, partitions and glazing, textiles, wood and laminates. It is this cross-referenced presentation that makes it possible to compose a coherent whole, rather than adding up isolated choices.

02
Your benefits

A harmonious whole, settled in session

  • Well-matched combinations. Floor, wall, ceiling, light, partition and seating are chosen side by side, on a board, in real light. You see the whole before deciding, not one piece after another.
  • No sampling delay. The references are already there. A hesitation is resolved within the session, without ordering a sample or waiting for its arrival to meet again.
  • References that are genuinely available. The collection is kept up to date: what you approve still exists in the manufacturer’s catalogue and can be ordered within the project’s timeframe.
  • The same quality in each office. A project carried out in Lille, Bordeaux or Barcelona draws on the same level of materials library, and on teams who use it daily.
  • Continuity from choice to installation. The references settled at the office go straight into the specification and the order: the sample you touched is the one that will be installed.

How it works

From the mood board to the sample installed on site

  1. Framing. Your Kytom interior architect revisits the brief: uses, identity, building constraints, budget and environmental requirements.
  2. Preselection. From the materials library, we select a set of references that are compatible with each other and with the uses of each space: traffic, maintenance, acoustics, fire resistance.
  3. Materials workshop at the office. Around the table, we compose the boards: a combination of floor, wall, ceiling, lighting, partition, textile and wood per mood. You compare, you decide, we adjust within the session.
  4. Technical validation. Each selected reference is checked: technical data sheet, fire classification, emissions, availability and supply lead time.
  5. Full-scale sample. For sensitive surfaces, we install a sample on site, in your light, before the final order.

Frequently asked questions

Is the materials library the same in all Kytom offices?

The collection and the level of standard are shared across all our offices; each one enriches it with local references and its clients’ requests. A reference seen in one office can be obtained in another.

Can we come to see and touch the samples?

Yes. The materials workshop takes place in the office closest to your project, by appointment, with your interior architect. You can return there at every decision stage.

What happens if a reference is no longer available?

Since the collection is kept up to date, this case remains rare. Should it arise, we propose in session an alternative from the same family, with equivalent appearance and performance, without shifting the schedule.

Can you bring samples to us?

Yes. To validate a finish in your light and on your surfaces, we bring the samples on site and, if necessary, install a full-scale trial.
